Child asks, “What’s that?” Parent says, “It’s an egggplant. It’s vegetable. Some people don’t like it but it has a lot of vitamins and is just a fun vegetable. Second scenario parent responds. It’s an eggplant. That’s a vegetable. And moves on. Third scenario parent says, it’s an eggplant and walks away. Fourth scenario is the the parent of a deaf child who can’t sign enough to explain that, takes their child’s hand and walks away.
