Districts across Alaska are working to address the new regulations regarding teacher and administrator evaluation processes. The Art and Science of Teaching Model provides a comprehensive aligned system to address all certificated professional growth and evaluation processes. The webinar series will provide both conceptual information about the model and practical experiential information regarding implementation. Gerry Briscoe (SERRC) is a trainer for the Art and Science of Teaching Model and will provide an overview of the model. The Kodiak Island Borough School District (KIBSD) team is entering their second year of implementation of the system. Assistant Superintendent Marilyn Davidson will facilitate the webinars and KIBSD administrators and teachers will share their experiences with implementation. These webinars will help participants better understand the Art and Science of Teaching Model as well as issues to address regarding implementation of the model. It is not a substitute for the intensive training necessary to implement the model.
