Participants will examine the five essential components—Phonemic Awareness, Phonics/Structural Analysis, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension—and determine which instructional practices are critical for student success.

Safe & Civil Schools CHAMPS and Discipline in the Secondary Classroom help classroom teachers develop (or fine-tune) effective classroom management plans that are proactive, positive, and instructional. Researchers have identified consistent and reliable findings concerning how effective teachers manage student behavior and enhance student motivation.
