Kagen Institute in Kenai

The Kagen Institute provides specific teacher training to support engagement through cooperative learning structures.  Participants will earn the four basic principals of cooperative learning as well as a range of structures and become familiar with the seven keys to successful implementation.  Classroom management strategies in support of cooperative learning structures will be addresses as well.  This three day training will enhance participants knowledge of the connection between academic engagement, social skills and cooperative learning.  Contact Michelle Thomason at mthomason@kpbsd.k12.ak.us for registration information.  One 500-level university credit is available.
