Supporting Students’ Mathematical Reasoning with the Mathematical Practices (Grades K-12)

with Jennifer Bay-Williams.

October 09 and 30, November 13, and December 04.
All webinars are from 3:45-5:45 p.m.
Target Audience: K-12 Teachers

How might you answer the question, “What do you wish was true for your students in your math class?”? Reflect on which of these responses are on your list: independent thinkers, problem solvers, excited to take on tough problems, able to determine their own strategy to solve a problem, self-motivated to figure out a problem.

We can’t wish for these dispositions, we have to develop them! This webinar series is focused on specific teaching strategies that imbed mathematical reasoning and sense making into our daily mathematics teaching so that students become confident and competent mathematicians.
