New Teachers – This course meets the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development requirements for Alaska Studies.
Explore Alaska: A Natural and Cultural History is an engaging, interactive 3-credit course for educators that can be applied across a wide spectrum of grade levels, specialties and geographic locations. Explore Alaska is as much about process as it is content. Participants will discover many interesting and useful resources while exploring Alaska’s new media frontier, as well as develop online skills to help better reach and teach Alaska’s next generation. All are welcome and all should feel comfortable with the content, media and processes presented in this course.
