Developing Classroom Math Fact Fluency and Families

with Jennifer Bay-Williams

September 30, October 14, 28 and November 11. All webinars start at 3:45 p.m.

Having automaticity with basic facts is so important to other learning planned for the year, and conversely, not knowing basic facts can really bog down learning. So, it is a great idea to get a handle on which facts students know and which strategies they can use, and build from there. But, it is a terrible idea to spend the limited time you have with students this fall administering tests, especially timed-tests. Jennifer will share games and assessment tools you can use to engage students in basic facts activities, while offering you the opportunity to see what they know. We will also infuse ideas to ensure parents understand and can support strategy learning at home. These sessions will provide activities that can be implemented in face-to-face and online learning environments. Expect to play some games!

Target Audience: Elementary Educators
Credit: One optional university credit is available for attending all webinars and participating in online assignments and discussions.

Webinars are recorded and available for viewing the next day!
