Students can be creative and express themselves through animated poetry. Learn how to introduce your students to animations, give them an authentic audience, and share their writing with others.
This session will feature the Inupiaq and Tlingit poet, storyteller, actor, and playwright Ishmael Angaluuk Hope! Ishmael Angaluuk Hope is a Tlingit and Inupiaq poet, Indigenous scholar, game dev, and actor who lives in Dzantik’ihéeni, Lingít Aaní. His most recent book of poetry isRock Piles Along the Eddy (Ishmael Reed Publications, 2017). He has written for games, including the award-winning Kisima Ingitchuna: Never Alone; its follow-upFoxtales; Walking Dead: Last Mile; and Zombies, Run!: Season of the Hunter. He has also written several articles on Northwest Coast art.
